Curbside Sliderz - Egg Over Angus Burger
Location: Midtown Food Park, 4002 Almeda Rd
Date: April 11, 2014
Checked out the newest Food Truck Park, the Midtown Food Park at 4002 Almeda Road. Cudos to the proprietor for proving electricity, it really makes for a much more pleasant experience to visit. Some seating is going in and I hope they can provide more. I hope they do start getting a good lineup of trucks and I look forward to visiting again.
You get two very pretty sliders made on mini sandwich roles, artfully garnished with a grape tomato and gherkin. Each Angus patty is topped with a fried egg, bacon, cheese, grilled red onions, lettuce, and creole mayo aioli. The creole mayo aioli is really the only non classic thing on this these burgers, yet just really well done ingredients and properly treating them make these really great burgers. The eggs really put this on another level and make for a really filling meal. Synopsis: A great classic burger in a slider format.
When I ordered the burger combo I had the option to upgrade my fries for a $1 to sweet potato fries. Who doesn't like sweet potato fries, so of course I did. I got a big serving of coated fries. The coating keeps them crisp right to the last one and they we perfectly cooked. The coating had a bit of seasoning too. I really can't tell in this case if the fries are home made or not, but who cares, they were good! Synopsis: Really well done fries.
